Animal rescue is not a state-funded task – unlike the ambulance service or fire brigade, the association too receives no regular public funding. As an umbrella association it bears the training of new responders, the equipping and funding of disaster relief at home and abroad, and the association-wide coordination and advocacy. Your donation ensures that animals in distress can still be cared for professionally tomorrow.

Training new animal accident paramedics
Every new responder is trained to the association's uniform standard – from theory training to practical first aid. Your donation funds courses, training materials and ongoing continuing education, so that the same professional quality is guaranteed everywhere.

Equipment for disaster relief
Major operations require specialist equipment: rescue transport boats, large-animal and equipment trailers, command vehicles and equipment for triage and treatment stations. Your donation helps to acquire this equipment, keep it operational and make it available nationwide in the event of a disaster.

Advocacy & coordination
As an umbrella association, the Bundesverband represents animal rescue towards politics, authorities and the public, develops uniform standards and coordinates the collaboration of its members. Your donation supports this association-wide development and networking – from advocacy to systems for interregional alerting.

Funding disaster relief operations at home and abroad
Whether floods at home or earthquakes and wildfires abroad: interregional operations require travel, catering, accommodation and logistics over days and weeks. Your donation enables the association services to help quickly and persistently in a disaster – wherever animals are in distress.
